We believe that God has guided the Church throughout history. We believe that many people, both leaders and lay people, did not follow God's ways but used the Church for their own personal gain. We believe that sins of the people does not negate God's grace and mercy that guided the Church through human history.
It is our conviction that studying history, not only wonderful things that happened through the Church but also the terrible things that were perpetrated through the institution of the Church reveal to us the wonderful deeds that God has done for God's own people. We say out loud with Paul who wrote in Romans, "What if some were unfaithful? Will their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God? By no means!"
In this spirit, we have been studying carefully the history of the Church on Monday evenings, reviewing goods, bads as well as warts to see how God continually guided, reshaped, reformed and renewed the Church. Currently we are studying the Church in Medieval Times.
The study takes place on every Monday evening at 7:00 pm.
